Our client is a leading FMCG (Food and Drink sector) name who are attaining fantastic growth. Their business is truly marketing led and is delighting consumers on a daily basis.
Background & responsibilities
Responsibilities:
To develop and deliver the brand growth strategy in conjunction with marketing units.
To include a 3 year strategic plan, leadership of key category plans to market using category / MU (Marketing Unit) resource and clear input into MU projects / solving key brand issues (eg brand architecture, design equity etc).
Dimensions:
- Delivery of target volume, TTO, GP, %GM and OWC targets
- Delivery of market share aspirations in line with Strategic Plan
- Launch of key initiatives on time and to target commitment
- Management and of category marketing budget in line with plan
- - Involvement in key brand issues (architecture, design, equity)
Ability to deliver ongoing innovation and renovation programme to include all activities from ideation to market readiness (concept development, quantitative / qualitative testing and product qualification), gradually decreasing involvement towards launch.
Strong commercial acumen – Ensures all strategies are financially viable and meeting or exceeding all direct and indirect measures, including top and bottom line growth.
Influencing skills – Bringing strategy to life and making it executable, ensuring a high level of conviction in group strategy across the MU’s. Clear input into MU projects and sharing knowledge of ‘winning formulas’ across markets.
External Supplier Management - getting the best out of external suppliers & the ability to motivate a remote team in order to delivery category objectives on time in full and to ultimately grow the brand.
Monitor and act on competitor activities – Develop defence / welcome plans where competitor activity has pan-European or strategic implications. Share competitive activity across group / MU’s as appropriate.
