Business Development Director (Cleaning)

A national FM provider are looking for an experienced Business Development Director to join the Cleaning and Integrated Facilities Solutions division of their business. This role covers the territories of London & the South, the Midlands and the North West so therefore the ability to travel within this patch in the future is essential. *

The group have a combined t/o of $7bn and employ over 7000 staff in the UK delivering world class service to customers in several key industry markets.

The Cleaning and Integrated Facilities Solutions division has doubled in size over the last couple of years to £60m

As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for seeking out new business, building a strong sales pipeline, achieving a high level of conversion of leads to opportunities, opportunities to orders and key account relationship management. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and inter-personal, presentation skills, be highly motivated, enthusiastic and successful at forming effective long-term relationships. You must also have proven track record selling services across different industry markets e.g. Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, Legal, Financial Services and Aviation, Universities and Distribution etc.

What are they asking for?

You will have an enviable track record in Cleaning Sales and therefore expected to have good commercial skills along with the ability and influence to sell higher margin services. You will also be required to support the estimators and bid writers by attending site surveys, preparing cost estimates and assist with writing the contract specific sections of the proposal submissions for contracts with annual value of £500K +

An annual target of £5m will not phase you.

A business generator, you are someone who can design and deliver a strategic plan for growth across the specific sectors / service line.

This role could suit someone looking to step up into a board level type of role. Ideally you will live within Liverpool, Leeds, London or Bristol.
