Our client, a highly respected software vendor, has built an uber exciting prospect and now requires an experienced sales professional to spearhead a specific area of their business.
The opportunity is quite compelling. Having developed from point solution, this is now a fully functioning Enterprise level, Manufacturing software application that is provided to large ‘plant’ operations and therefore sold across multiple stakeholders across OEMs (and potentially their Supply Chains) – Director, Senior Management, down to shop floor. Usually encompassing IT, Business and Engineering / Manufacturing.
Not only is their application highly configurable and seamlessly integrates with numerous ERP/MRP/MES platforms, but their application is considered by many as ‘business critical’; by producing real value and genuine business insight. Thus, it has become a core component to multiple global manufacturers.
Now having over 20 installed sites worldwide, our client has built an enviable portfolio of case studies and cherry picked ‘live’ sales opportunities for the successful applicant. Clearly, a pipeline that you are more than expected to contribute to!!! They are primarily supporting Automotive accounts at present and the view of this Business Development Manager, is to target this vertical initially and expand out across General Manufacturing. The long term view is to potentially build a Manufacturing software business unit
To be considered for this role you should meet the following criteria;
- A wealth of experience selling in to the Manufacturing arena – and demonstrate a genuine understanding of business needs within this market place
- As such, you will possess gravitas and genuine credibility when engaging at senior levels
- You will have sold modular based software applications – ideally six figure deals, encompassing Licence, Services and Support based contracts
- You will be Consultative in your approach to winning Net New Business – people will by from your trusted business advice
