An exciting opportunity has become available for someone to work within the Alliances division responsible for nurturing a successful working relationship with HP Inc. and continue to drive success with Softcat. HP Inc. is a top 5 Softcat vendor growing at a phenomenal rate. With organisations embarking on Windows 10 migrations and an ever-increasing demand to provide a more mobile, flexible working experience for their workforce, HP’s solutions are at the forefront of our customers Digital Workspace transformation projects.

Supported by a large and established team at HP as well as the HP Alliance Manager, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to drive the success of one of Softcat’s key global market-leading vendors.

Your role

The successful candidate will be crucial in developing new business opportunities, building relationships within the HP and Softcat teams, driving the sales strategy, training and marketing requirements and supporting opportunities across all our Northern offices. You would be expected to proactively work with both the Specialist Teams and the Sales Team to ensure maximum commercial advantage is gained on all HP products.

Day to day responsibilities will include; Working on multiple deals and campaigns, liaising with HP to maximise revenue and profitability on all sales opportunities, acting as main point of contact for sales related activity with HP Account Management and Marketing Teams and training and enablement for Sales, Sales Support and our Specialist teams.

What we need from you

  • A strong influencer and communicator
  • First-rate relationship building skills
  • Adept organiser
  • Can integrate between and work effectively with various teams at Softcat but also possess the confidence and creativity to effectively run their area of the business independently
  • Required to travel – proactively covering all out Northern offices
  • Excellent time management due to the amount of travel required in the role
  • Ideally demonstrable experience in sales with some knowledge of the IT market, although full training will be provided
