Job Description

  • Develop and expand the timber and construction accessories business in the UK
  • Target acquisition and support of customers central buying departments and projects
  • Monitor account performance against budget and implement action plans to ensure achievement of targets
  • Identify demand, develop initiatives and bring new timber and accessory products to market
  • Participate in the continuous optimisation of the product portfolio, accreditation, price management & logistics processes
  • Prepare budget information, including short and long-term forecasting of account plans and market analysis
  • Maintain customer, opportunity and demand information in the CRM system
  • Support the field service in generating plywood and accessory sales for existing and new customers
  • Plan and conduct internal and external product and awareness training
  • Ensure customer accounts, queries and complaints are handled efficiently and professionally at all times

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional sales experience with a focus on panel products (trade or production)
  • Market knowledge of panel products in the construction industry is advantageous
  • PIABC Level 3 Certificate in Wood Technology and Application is desirable
  • Strong negotiation and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • High levels of self-motivation and good team working ethic
  • Good understanding of contractual conditions
  • Good level of IT literacy including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Nationwide willingness to travel with some overnight stays
  • Full UK Driving License (preferably clean)
  • Sufficient Rights to Work in the UK
