Channel Manager

Yellow Bridge Recruitment are supporting their established PCI software client in the search for a Channel Manager to develop and manage their partner-base.

Role Overview: –

  • Driving sales revenue through building a strong indirect channel partner network

  • Responsible for identifying, prospecting, recruiting and on-boarding new channel partners

  • Educating the market/channel to the benefits of this company’s products and services

  • Developing go-to-market plans for each channel partner, ensuring the efficient execution of those plans

  • Negotiate channel pricing and partner agreements

  • Collaborate with Marketing to establish key sales and marketing metrics for all channel activity

  • Build, manage and maintain a substantial pipeline of qualified opportunities to underpin target achievement

  • Serve as each partner’s single point of contact

  • Work with Marketing to develop training collateral to support the channel partners in their role

  • Work with pre-sales support to achieve a seamless on-boarding journey

  • Evaluate opportunities and prepare proposals in a timely manner

  • Maintain CRM for channel opportunities and sales, recording accurate and regularly updated information

  • Maintain suitable reporting/account plans to manage internal stakeholder expectations

  • Track and report progress against targets and take necessary action to refocus efforts where targets are not being met

  • Demonstrate effective and collaborative use of all available resources

  • Developing leads and contacts through cold calling when required

  • Demonstrate practical and action orientated sales performance and planning

  • Communicate competitor/industry relevant information to management and marketing

  • Represent at industry events as required

Candidate Overview: –

  • Experience in software channel sales

  • An excellent knowledge of sales and account management practice and principles

  • A good knowledge of basic business principles

  • Experience in making and delivering professional presentations

  • Organised and self-managed

  • Presenting a professional image and demeanour

  • Balanced and calm under pressure

  • Enthusiastic

The successful applicant will be rewarded with a salary of between £60,000pa and £80,000 basic, with an uncapped OTE well into six figure territory.

The role is home/field based, so with the client head office being based in the South of the UK, the role is commutable from Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Dorchester, Blandford, Salisbury, Southampton, Portsmouth, Fareham, Basingstoke, Andover, Reading and Winchester to name a few, as there is a requirement to be in the office once a week.
