Customer Service/Sales Team Leader

Job Details

The main duties of the Customer Service/Sales Team Leader role will be as follows:

  • Leading a team of Sales Coordinators and continuous performance monitoring of the team through daily KPI reviews
  • Managing the workflow between all teams
  • Continuous coaching and development to improve the level of knowledge and efficiency of staff; resulting in improving NPS and Customer Survey scores
  • Identifying areas of improvement and ensuring customer compliance at all times
  • Reviewing customer profiles to identify opportunities to increase sales
  • Working with external teams and customers to promote stocks and increase sales
  • Identifying key customers and sites that require extra focus to improve production planning, reduce cancellations and increase despatches
  • Supporting and covering all aspects of the sales coordinator role
  • Responding to customer enquiries, pricing requests, delivery information and samples by telephone
  • Management of order book, schedule clearance and stock control and liaising with transport
  • Calculating Self Bill Haulage payments
  • Managing disputed debts – finding root cause and implementing permanent corrective action
  • Taking an active part in reviewing the processes and procedures within the sales office to improve efficiency, to include e-scheduling and quick order
  • Assisting the Sales Office Manager in active management of the office

Interested applicants must have the following:

  • Previous experience of managing people, and a leadership / supervisory background, demonstrating creativity, adaptability and sales experience
  • Experience within a sales orientated office environment, preferably business to business, would be desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • A high awareness of Customer Service and Continuous Improvement processes
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft applications including Office, Excel and Word
  • Applicants must also be willing to travel and stay overnight from time to time, for meetings and training so a clean driving licence is required
