Global Web and Content Manager

Job Details

This company, part of a larger solutions and services organisation are leaders in their field of laboratory instrumentation found in all healthcare and research laboratories. They are looking to appoint a Global Web and Content Manager to drive and grow the company’s web presence across multiple language sites, creating and developing scientific content and delivering promotional plans to support pipeline and revenue generation. The role reports to the Head of Digital Marketing and Communication. You will also plan, implement and manage scientific content and promotional campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition and retention across multiple markets and geographies.

This involves:

  • Planning digital marketing campaigns such as SEO, SEM, social media, PPC advertising
  • Maintaining social media presence across all digital channels
  • Creating scientific content to drive online campaigns with inhouse and external content experts.
  • Troubleshoot website and integrated application issues and work towards their quick resolution.
  • Work in close collaboration with product management, marketing and communications colleagues as well as external vendors including third party website developers
  • Design and deliver scientific based content to support promotional and sales activity
  • Identify and develop content author network
  • Ability to translate audience/brand facing messages into compelling marketing activity.

Candidate Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essentially, you must be qualified to degree level in a scientific subject with a background in or knowledge of the scientific market
  • Good all-round marketing mix knowledge and experience of SEO, social media, PPC and email marketing
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology: CMS, analytics, CRM (Salesforce, Drupal)
  • Strong communication skills and excellent understanding of communicating with different audiences and cultures
  • Good data analysis and ability to manipulate data sets
  • Experience of managing multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Ideally experienced in scientific copywriting
  • Strong experience in managing third party agencies
  • Excellent experience in developing and managing marketing programs
  • Good understanding of all concepts and principles underpinning marketing communications
  • Results orientated and commercially focused with strong analytical skills
  • HTML and CSS experience beneficial
