Graduate Manufacturing & Industrial Recruitment Consultant

Job Details

Westray Recruitment Consultants are hiring! We have an exceptional opportunity to join an established, yet rapidly growing Manufacturing & Industrial Division. We are looking to appoint ambitious, motivated and hardworking graduates to become an integral part of the team.

This is undoubtedly the fundamental question to ask yourself.

First things first – the clue is in our name. We consider ourselves to be a recruitment consultancy, not an “agency”, and we are therefore looking for graduates that understand the importance of consulting with both clients and candidates alike, and have the confidence to do so.

Now for the hook, Westray Recruitment Consultants has achieved Gold Audited Status from the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC), which validates and provides testimony to the standard of our service and quality of the professionals working within Westray. Less than 1% of recruitment companies across the UK hold this accreditation. We are immensely proud of this award and this is our key differentiator within the marketplace. We are quality and standards driven and we adhere to “best practice” recruitment methods at every turn.

To spell it out, Working at Westray is unlike any other recruitment consultancy. We know we are different, and our clients do too, which is why we have such an incredibly high client retention rate and are repeatedly praised for our service excellence. We have the expertise and experience within our business to unlock your true potential and allow you to flourish within our organisation.

With your dynamic and aspiring attitude, you will develop outstanding account management skills and our expert team will enable you to learn the “craft” of recruitment, whilst working alongside instantly recognised brands and global businesses.

You will have exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, and be able to manage your time effectively, in order to generate maximum revenue for the Manufacturing & Industrial Department. You will predominantly be recruiting high volume tempoary workers in to a range of manufacturing companies and be reacting at short notice to their requirements. You will be required to screen and interview potential candidates and induct them on-site at our clients` premises. Due to the nature of the industries our clients operate in and the needs of their business, this does sometimes have to be across evenings and weekends. This however is the exception rather than the rule and does form part of our on call rota.

Whilst we have a high volume of existing clients with whom you will be working, as with most recruitment roles, consultative sales will form part of your daily duties and this is something that you must embrace. You must be able to show ingenuity, determination and tenacity in your approach. Our aim is to turn you into a true 360 recruitment professional.

You will be joining a team of dedicated and experienced recruitment professionals and support staff, who will share their knowledge and expertise with you, as well as the roller coaster ride that the recruitment industry undoubtedly provides! We believe in supporting each other to achieve success, and together we reap the rewards. A team work ethic is essential in order to be successful in this role and department.

If you are a graduate seeking a challenging role, then this could be the role for you! We are looking for someone special to join our business, someone who wants to make a difference, but more importantly, someone who wants to contribute in moving an already successful division forward, whilst developing their own career.

In order to be considered for this role, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be degree educated
  • Have a Full UK driving licence
  • Be ambitious, articulate and have excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to liaise with people at all levels, from job seekers to high level clients
  • Have the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work on your own initiative
  • Be a strong team player
  • Have excellent personal presentation, dressing appropriately for the corporate environment at all times

Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm, although you may be required to work longer hours, at short notice, as and when required to suit the needs of the business.

You will also be part of an on-call rota where you will be required to take a mobile phone home with you (including over weekends) in order to react to any client or candidate requirements. Total flexibility is therefore essential.

This is a permanent contract with a 6 month probation period.

  • Salary is negotiable depending on experience
  • Uncapped team based commission scheme
  • Company pension scheme
  • Free parking
  • Early finish on a Friday (workload depending)
  • Westray provides excellent training, both internal and external. Your progression pathway will be individually tailored to maximise your potential
