Head of Marketing

Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Marketing based in Newcastle office. This a full time role based on 40 hours per week (flexible to meet the needs of the business).

Role Summary

Responsible for implementing and executing the marketing strategy for both digital and traditional platforms, that will meet pre-determined targets and increase market share for the Broadway Travel, Broadway Cruise, and Inspired Luxury Escapes brands.

Responsibilities

Management and development of both digital and traditional marketing campaigns.

Contribute to and execute an effective marketing strategy, including providing regular updates and revisions/modifications where necessary.

Increase brand awareness, identify business growth potential and marketing opportunities and initiate action plans to approach and secure new business.

Set and manage budgets against key KPI’s, providing sales forecasts where necessary.

Management, development and implementation of tracking and analytics to enable effective monitoring, analysis and reporting of the performance of all marketing channels vs budget.

Develop and implement brand strategies.

Create strong campaigns and manage brand guidelines across all advertising platforms.

Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs.

Manage relationships with existing media and advertising partners, including negotiation of contracts and identifying new opportunities.

Provide leadership to marketing team including providing coaching, guidance, support and setting personal development plans for team members to achieve their full potential.

Establish and define monthly and annual performance goals for the marketing team, and monitor and control on a continual basis.

Monitor and analyse market, industry and competitor trends and establish both market and target customer strategies for the Company.

Develop and oversee the continuous improvement of marketing processes to ensure quality, accuracy and consistency.

Collaborate closely with the product and commercial teams in order to develop new products and services for customers.

Ensure the marketing team deliver the highest standard of departmental and cross departmental communication, teamwork and customer service.

Representing the Company at conferences, trade fairs and networking events based both in the UK and overseas.

Attending and presenting at manager’s meetings, conferences and any other relevant meetings.

To undertake any other duties that may fall into the job criteria.

The role will require regular travel to the Company’s offices along with travel to various locations throughout the UK.

Skills & Experience

Experience of working in the travel industry, in a similar role at a senior level.

Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate knowledge and skills.

Ability to predict market trends, improve market share in all product channels and identify new opportunities.

Proven record of people management with the ability to lead, manage and develop a multi-disciplinary team.

Ability to create and maintain a positive, enthusiastic working environment in order to drive and maximise sales and marketing opportunities.

Strong interpersonal and relationship management expertise in order to deliver best practices for the whole business.

Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret relevant management information.

Experience of budget management.

Outstanding influencing and negotiation skills, at all levels.

Ability to work in a fast-paced target orientated environment.

Strong planning capability and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organisational skill with strong attention to detail.

Ability to use Microsoft packages – e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel.

A passion for results and genuine desire to achieve, both personally and as part of a successful team.
