Our client are looking for an Insurance Consultant to join their busy St. Albans office. The ideal candidate would have some Insurance/Financial/retail background, although this is not essential. Ultimately they must be a self-starter and someone who wants to develop and progress in their career, not a stepping stone.

Our client promotes from within so there is a real career path for the right individual and training is in hours and hands on, however, would also be expected to study for a “Certificate in Insurance” in their own time. This consists of 3 exams and they are given up to 1 year to pass these and given plenty of support.

Communication is key to excel in this role, as our client deal with Car/Van/Home/Landlords/Breakdown and other insurances, so you will be speaking to customers and clients from various backgrounds. This role is customer focused, you must have a professional phone manner at all time, and above all else you will need to be able to build rapport with customers and clients. The role will initially entail dealing with all aspects of insurance policies from inception, mid-term changes, to renewals and claims, both in & outbound calls.

Salary: £18,000 – £25,000 Depending on experience
Hours: Mon – Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm Sat 8:30am – 12:30pm on a rota basis
holiday: 22 days + Bank Holidays
