Internal Sales Executive

Job Details

To provide a high quality service by providing a range of sales support activities, including providing appointments for the field sales team, managing tasks within set service level agreements, providing general sales support and guidance to developers on the full range of products and services and to chase up outstanding quotes with the aim of maximising business opportunities leading to the generation of new business.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • To achieve agreed objectives, working closely with Sales and Marketing team, to generate new leads / appointments working from external and internal databases
  • To arrange appointments with prospect / target companies across all sectors
  • To follow-up with prospects until appointment is secured (where appropriate)
  • To execute telemarketing follow-up campaigns as directed
  • To keep up to date with all products and services within the group
  • To provide a comprehensive sales support service for the group
  • To communicate effectively with relevant internal and external parties
  • To issue all documentation required for new business leads
  • To strictly adhere to the Company’s selling practices and methods in accordance with FSA rules
  • To ensure strict adherence with Company procedures and external compliance regulations
  • To issue indicative quotations for all products we offer.
  • To follow up all quotations issued maximising business opportunities
  • To research new leads using internal or external resources
  • To continually achieve set targets in relation to Key Performance Indicators

Experience / Skills

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent planning and prioritising skills
  • Ideally have experience in appointment making/cold calling
  • Professional telephone manner with experience of working within a target driven sales support environment
  • To be self-motivated with an ability to work unsupervised
  • To be achievement focused
  • Ability to use initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organisation ability
  • Good understanding of sales process
  • Understanding of FSA Regulations and how they apply to products
  • Resilient – able to handle rejection and be persistent in approach
  • Ability to analyse and problem solve
  • I T skills
  • Up-to-date market and competitor knowledge with an ability to identify market opportunities
  • Proven ability to persuade and influence
