We have the pleasure of bringing an IT Sales Account Manager opportunity to you, from one of the North East’s leading suppliers of IT services, telecommunications and print management services. Having witness sustained growth over the last few years, this growth is expected to continue as a result of investment in new technologies and resources, hence the requirement for this role.

As an IT Sales Account Manager you will work within a close-knit team, with the aim of developing opportunities to sell IT solutions and services predominantly to SME type customers.

This is an end-to-end sales role and will therefore encompass; responding to inbound sales enquiries, generating leads via cold-calling, following up marketing campaigns and other techniques, attending sales meetings, closing sales and processing all paperwork.

As well as new business generation, account management is also a key aspect of the role. You will therefore be expected to manage the existing customer database, aiming to increase revenue from existing customers via up-selling and cross-selling techniques. You will additionally handle enquiries regarding upgrades, cross-selling and customer deals.


It is essential that you have a strong sales background with previous experience and success in a similar role focusing on IT, High Technology solution and services or Telecoms.

You must also hold a UK driving licence, although a company car / car allowance is provided.

This will suit you if you are currently in a role such as Sales Executive, Field Sales Executive, Business Development Manager or Sales Manager, and come from an organisation where technical aptitude is essential.


You will receive a basic salary of approx. £25,000 and work to a commission scheme which will take your OTE to between £40,000 and £60,000 (although this is uncapped), as well as a company car / car allowance.


This role is a permanent contract, whereby you will work 40 hours a week from Monday – Friday.
