Marketing and Communications Assistant/Content Writer (Full-time)

We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our growing team. The role will be focused on creating thought-leading content, effectively merchandising products and to create content for marketing and advertising campaigns. The role will help to grow the businesses presence online and through printed collateral. Key skills required are exceptional copy-writing skills, great communication, ability to confidently manage workload and an understanding of working in digital marketing is highly desirable, specifically SEO and content creation. There will be the opportunity to support with the day-to-day marketing function and to be part of a friendly and hardworking marketing team that will be supporting the business through a period of growth.


  • Creation of thought-leading and market sector specific content pieces
  • Website management – updating website, category pages, landing pages, continuous review, and implementing improvements
  • Product merchandising – creating new and updating existing merchandising content, adapting format and tone of voice for different sales channels
  • Drafting, optimising, publishing and scheduling content/collateral for our websites, blogs, distributors, and clients
  • Email marketing – creation of content, building marketing campaigns and reporting results
  • Assist with catalogue production and proofing pages
  • Working closely with SEO specialists to improve site performance through improved content
  • Support with the production of product videos
  • To support in the day-to-day marketing activities and websites across the three company divisions and all sales channels
  • Social media management and account activity
  • To support the overall requirements of the marketing team and ensure the delivery and execution of campaigns
  • Measure and support in monthly reporting for website performance and all digital campaign performance

Desired skills & experience:

  • Educated to degree level in either marketing, English or business-related degree
  • Exceptional copywriting and written skills with the ability to produce engaging content
  • A strong proof-reader with a keen eye for detail
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals and practices, such as conversation rate, optimisation, and web analytics are all highly desirable. Awareness of marketing best practice, general marketing trends and keeping up to date with the industry news and developments
  • A confident and articulate communicator – in writing and in person
  • Ambitious with a desire to learn and develop new skills
  • Organised and practical, ability to prioritise work when faced with multiple priorities and manage workload
  • Willing to take on more responsibility and grow in the position with a sense of ownership and pride in performance
  • Knowledge of working in Microsoft Office
