Marketing & Communications Manager

Job Details

How often in Marketing do you get to start from scratch?

As in, implement a new tone of voice; oversee a rebrand; work on a new website; elevate a brand from a whisper to a big noise?

To see something through from start to finish and have a marketing voice that is truly your own, not something you have inherited from the previous team, sounds entirely unheard of.  But in this role, you can.

You want to be part of a business that is making a difference in Scotland – to the economy, to the environment, to the way the government make decisions.

And you want to shout about all of these differences and share their stories of success.

This not-for-profit organisation is charting the way forward in a time of real change, partnering with some of the biggest global corporates; SMEs; unions; and local authorities.

You’ll be able to effectively articulate the value of membership of this organisation ; able to book press and PR slots for the Chief Executive and Policy Director; able to take economics and policy heavy white papers and turn them into engaging content.

You’re an extremely strong writer. You’re social media savvy, confident at promoting events, comfortable delivering high quality email campaigns and newsletters.

You keep up to date with Scottish business news and can relay statistics and changes to law in a manner that is interesting and appropriate for existing members and prospects. You’re comfortable marketing across a wide range of sectors and topics.

You have a strong personal brand and are able to influence internal colleagues and external members. You’re resourceful and forward thinking – you never want to hear “we always do things this way.”

You’re someone who – no matter where you work – is ambitious for the business as a whole.

You want to make a difference within a business that is making a difference.
