Partnership Activation Manager

Job Details

Pitchero, the UK’s leading digital sports network for grassroots sport, is looking for an experienced marketing professional to join the team to manage and activate key national and international partnerships.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of partnerships, overseeing daily relationship management, marketing activation and delivery of contractual assets. This person will play a central role in the strategic planning and renewal of all managed partnerships, and serve as point person for all partner related topics within the organisation.

Activate partnerships include but not limited too; England Hockey, England Netball, Scottish FA, Welsh FA, the England & Wales Cricket Board and the Vanarama National League.


  • Support new partnerships enquires, including pilot programmes
  • Lead day-to-day communication with partners, including:
    • Leading weekly calls
    • Interface with internal departments on partners activation campaigns as needed
    • Address issues and provide solutions to meet partnership needs
    • Oversight of asset delivery
    • Serve as an internal expert and resource on managed partnerships
    • Provide weekly management reports
  • Provide strategic insights based on partner conversations, history and relationships
  • Proactively generate new ideas for activation focusing on campaign success and club sign up
  • Fiscally responsible for the day-to-day management of partnership activation budgets
  • Oversee creative approval of all partnership assets, ensuring submissions are brand compliant and in-line with contractual guidelines
  • In conjunction with our marketing team, plan marketing schedules and implementation of partner specific digital, social, and content programs
  • Special project management where applicable


Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 years professional marketing experience with a focus on; planning, digital and activation

Required skills

  • Experience managing large-scale partnerships
  • Experience planning and execution of activation programs
  • Creative strategist with the ability to provide solutions that address client needs
  • Good understanding of grassroots / public sector sports
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
  • High level of commitment to quality work and organisational ethics, integrity and compliance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including the occasional evening and weekend
