Payroll Business Development Manager

Up to £40,000 basic £80,000 OTE + car allowance & company benefits
East Midlands – Field Based 

Our Client, a leading organisation within the Information Technology and Services sector is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager on a full time, permanent basis in the East Midlands. You would take responsibility for successfully achieving sales revenue targets by selling the company’s portfolio of services and products to new and existing business customers across the defined territory.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
•Self-generating appointments and attending client meetings on a weekly basis
•Achieving revenue objectives through renewals, upselling and cross-sell to existing clients and generating new business
•Making telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to new and existing customers
•Researching sources for developing new clients and for information to determine their potential
•Developing clear and effective written proposals for new revenue and renewal opportunities
•Ensuring that any complaints are assigned to the appropriate areas of the business
•Working closely with the implementations and operational teams to ensure effective and smooth on-boarding of new clients
•Suppling management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
•Staying up to date with the company product portfolio, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities
•Participating in trade shows and conventions within the assigned territory
•Proposing solution development requirements that best address end-user needs and continual improvement of the company’s solution

Skills and experience:
•Extensive business development experience within the IT/Technology industry essential
•Knowledge of Payroll systems – Resourcelink ideal
•Demonstrable history of meeting/exceeding sales revenue targets
•Willingness and ability to travel as required
•Able to provide current and previous sales figures on request
•Ability to work with minimal supervision
•Excellent relationship management and oral communication skills
•Refined presentation skills – able to present to large audiences
