Private Sector Account Manager

Job Details

To act as the primary point of contact for each of the accounts that is assigned to you and ensure profitable strategic growth for our organization and achieve a personal sales target in line with the budgeted commitments of these accounts.

A secondary part of the role is to identify new accounts and sales opportunities across the private sector within Scotland and proactively develop relationships within those regions to facilitate new business and achieve or exceed your own regional Private Sector target.

  • Assist the UK Vertical Markets Manager in developing appropriate sales and business development strategies.
  • Identify development accounts and forge professional relationships at all senior decision making levels and operational levels within the account
  • To proactively manage allocated key accounts ensuring fulfillment of their contract and forecasted/budget spend in each Brunswick Quarters
  • To maximise sales opportunities within your own specified region and to make customers aware of any changes in the product line or within Life Fitness
  • To work closely with Life Fitness’ strategic partners to offer additional solutions to the accounts and new customers, and further strengthen our offering and securing our position as the industry leader
  • To produce accurate weekly sales forecasts and monthly product forecasts for each of the accounts
  • Produce a quarterly tactic and Strategy document utilising demonstrating all market segments within your specific area and individual customers and opportunities
  • To produce, in conjunction with the accounts and new customers, drawings and plans for their facilities.  To then see the project through from design and implementation, through to delivery and ongoing
  • To work with your allocated accounts to produce accurate trade out forecasts, and provide estate planning for each of the accounts if relevant to your overall sales strategy
  • Ensuring all relevant sales and contact information is recorded and utilised on
  • To develop, coach and mentor other team members in specific areas of your allocated champion specifics
  • To act as the second port of call to solve any issues with Customer Support


  • It is essential that the individual has proven regional sales and account management experience
  • Some knowledge / experience of the fitness industry is desirable
  • Ambitious, self-motivated individual who can work autonomously but as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve and exceed targets, both within the designated territory, the area and the total team
  • Experience of selling/consulting into the private sector and/or an understanding of the different sector segments i.e. Corporate, Holiday Parks, Residential, Boutique, Hospitality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Commercially astute to appreciate and understand the value, contribution and complexity of initiating, developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships for future business generation
  • A passion for delivering an excellent customer experience
  • It is essential that the individual demonstrates confident communicative ability and flair in the production and delivery of customer presentations
  • Strong verbal communication skills, highly literate and numerate to confidently act as a Life Fitness ambassador, articulating the quality product and enhancing the brand recognition in presenting and providing solutions to business customers
  • Effective listening ability and strong negotiation skills are required, along with drive and resilience to succeed in a competitive market place
  • IT skills, confident handling of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and use of email are essential

  • Project Management Experience would be advantageous
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
  • Ability to travel and be away from home on occasion
