Sales Development Executive Role

Apex Radio Systems ltd are a dynamic leading supplier of two way radios to the UK Market, we deal in all the major brands and as innovators in our market have brought our own range to the market.

We have been in operation for 27 years and are looking to develop our Sales team with a B2B Sales Development executive.

The role is varies and will require the candidate to be organised, analytical and a self-starter.

We are looking for someone to work with our closely knit team to undertake telesales and appointment making.

This is primarily a business development role using warm leads to call prospective clients generated from our existing client base to develop existing business and approach them with new opportunities and technologies that they may wish to consider.

Full training will be offered on the products to be offered – and we are looking for someone with previous sales or call centre experience that has excellent telephone manner, great communication skills, is friendly and can build rapport easily and promote the Apex Brand.

Core Role Responsibilities

  • Calling business (B2B) to discuss their radio communication needs
  • Managing the sales cycle from initial prospect call through to closing the sale
  • Pursuing quotations and opportunities
  • Ongoing account management of Key Accounts
  • Research and identifying potential new clients and building a database of leads and contacts which fit with our current client base and sales campaigns
  • Booking demos and appointment for Site visits

General Activities

  • Answering incoming sales calls as needed
  • Logging all Sales jobs and Appointments on company Database
  • Updating of opportunities and quotations log
  • Assistance with follow up from Marketing Campaigns
  • Promotion of Apex on third party portals – I.E LinkedIn, Supplier purchasing portals
  • Visiting Clients to promote Apex and the Products

About you

We are looking for a smart results driven person, preferably someone with previous outbound sales experience to work within our current Sales and Marketing team – and in conjunction with the Service and Engineering departments

We require the successful candidate to be

  • Excellent communicator both verbally and written,
  • Be confident, polite and professional whilst being adaptable to our wide client base,
  • Persistent and organised to ensure all leads are followed up
  • Team player to work with team’s across different departments
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to take instruction
  • Proactive and hands on
  • Flexible to different tasks as and when required

Salary is negotiable upon experience and working pattern is generally 9am-5pm Monday to Friday with occasional flexibility required 20 days Holiday + Bank Holidays
