A leading organisation specialising in the distribution of chilled, ambient and fresh produce is actively seeking a Sales Development Manager to maximise sales volumes and product distribution in the London region via existing and new accounts. As specialists in the market, this is a new venture following the acquisition of two new businesses, so it offers a fantastic make-your-mark opportunity.
As a Sales Development Manager you’ll discuss and agree sales objectives for the region whilst developing and maintaining the business. Working to develop new business opportunities within businesses ranging from hotels, businesses, coffee and restaurants through to government buildings, you’ll network through the organisations building relationships where possible. As a Sales Development Manager you’ll manage your time effectively, working in the field whilst spending a day in the head office in London per week. You’ll set and develop specific objectives for each customer in the territory, working towards these objectives and maintaining records of progress and activity.
Ideally, you’ll have held a similar Business Development or Account Management role in the Food Distribution or Wholesale sector. Experience networking existing accounts and winning new business would be beneficial. You’ll have worked in territory to targets and sales KPIs, have a strong communication style and have an interest in the market and sector to leverage key market relationships.
