An opportunity exists for an experienced Sales Manager/Technical Sales Manager for a leading supplier of heating equipment to the new build and replacement market in the North-West of England. The company has a powerful position in its industry and already has a high level of specification in the area and high levels of customer recognition, therefore this is a superb opportunity to join an already thriving business and continue in supporting with growth and development.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a highly autonomous role whereby you will be working in a field based Sales Management role. You will be taking over a highly successful area, joining a national team of Sales Managers and will be responsible for using your key account management skills to develop long term relationships with customers throughout the industry supply chain. You will also generate new business, using sales leads from a variety of sources to assist with this.

You will have accountability for a large territory. The area covers Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Staffordshire and North Wales.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Have knowledge and experience in a sales capacity in the Heating and Plumbing industry
  • Be able to understand and absorb technical concepts and the workings of heating equipment
  • Have experience and knowledge of IT systems such as Microsoft Office and be will willing to use IT software in the form of CRM systems as a central part of your daily work
  • Have the ability to work independently and be self-motivated

SALARY AND BENEFITS

A competitive basic salary is on offer, as well as a commission and bonus scheme, details of which will be discussed at interview. The company will guarantee a minimum OTE for an introductory period.

A company vehicle will also be offered, and the company offers a generous pension scheme, death-in-service and other benefits.

THE CONTRACT

This is a permanent contract, whereby you will work from Monday – Friday.

Full product and IT training will be given and you will receive ongoing support from both management and colleagues.
