Base location:  You would be located at our Head Office at Newfield House, 1 New Street, Musselburgh, EH21 6HY.

Job Role:

You will be in charge of dealing with parent enquiries from multiple children’s nurseries. This will include dealing with phone calls from parents as well as email enquiries. You will monitor our enquiry tracking system and ensure all enquiries are dealt with to the highest possible standard with customer service always being top priority.

You will be expected to generate weekly reports using our enquiry tracking system and submit these to the board of directors.

You will be in charge of liaising with nursery managers and regional managers and aid them in any ad-hoc tasks they require.  These may include attending events, market research, orders and data collection.

You will assist with project / event work at various times throughout the year and assist with monitoring social media sites.

You will be responsible for updating various marketing materials such as online listings, websites and brochures ensuring that all of our information is up to date and accurate.

We would expect any candidate to be able to manage a varied workload, be organised and use their initiative as well as being able to work well in a team

Candidate Specification

Qualifications

  • Childcare qualifications or childcare background of some kind would be highly desirable.

Specialist Knowledge

  • Microsoft Excel/Word
  • Social Media
  • Photoshop (desirable)
  • WordPress (desirable)

Personal Skills

  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to manage large work load efficiently
  • High level of customer service
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Caring approach to all work
  • High level of initiative and common sense
  • Ability to deal with high pressure situations whilst maintaining a calm, professional exterior

Previous Experience

  • Experience working in a childcare environment or with families who have young children would be very desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience in an office environment
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of marketing various events would be desirable
  • Previous experience working with either Photoshop and/or WordPress is highly desirable
  • Childcare qualifications or childcare background of some kind would be highly desirable.
