About the Role:
This role requires a sophisticated sales person that has a great track record with the retail multiples. You will manage relationships and lead negotiations with key clients to achieve sales goals.
You will have experience of managing a team of sales people but will also need to be an outstanding salesperson in your own right. You will be given the opportunity to deliver results and step up to a Commercial Director level in the near future.
The future sales strategy will be your responsibility as well as the day to day commercial team management and you will be very involved in the overall activities of the company working with the MD.
You will also be down to earth and will be responsible for driving new business development of both existing customer accounts, new clients and other business opportunities. You will be able to work at a high strategic level but also be hands on with key client account management and business development.
The ideal candidate will have a fantastic track record of leading sales and a sales team delivering to retail multiples as well as other markets. They will be able to articulate their results and process to stakeholder’s. The ideal candidate will come from a fresh produce background. Inside out knowledge of retailers, key people, supply chain and FMCG trends is a must. A fantastic relationship with commercial growers would be considered a great asset.
To be considered for this role you must have commercial experience selling to the major retailer multiples within fresh food or fresh produce. You will have a fantastic track record of sales and growth with numbers to back this up. To be considered you must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years fresh produce experience at a senior level, be highly ambitious with creative and innovative solutions to significantly drive business. An outgoing and ‘open’ personality would suit the current team environment.
Circa £80,000 – £100,000+ and a competitive package
