Senior Direct Marketing Executive

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a well-known National Charity as an Senior Direct Marketing Executive. You’ll join a talented and innovative Direct Marketing team who strive to increase supporter engagement.

Key tasks

    • To be responsible for project managing a range of supporter recruitment campaigns through a mix of face-to-face, telephone and digital activities.
    • To generate recruitment campaigns to supporters from concept through to delivery including researching, planning, writing, designing, database management, data sourcing and liaison with relevant external agencies.
    • To analyse and report on recruitment campaigns and provide weekly results and end of campaign reports to the Head of Supporter Recruitment.
    • To research and develop new supporter recruitment propositions, creative ideas and campaigns to maximise supporter lifetime value.
    • To track and monitor income and expenditure for all recruitment campaigns
    • To work with the Head of Supporter Recruitment to devise supporter recruitment plans, strategies and budgets.
    • To review external marketing campaigns and propositions and provide regular competitor analysis reports.
    • To liaise with staff, trustees and volunteers, maintaining good relationships with all and providing necessary feedback as required.

Essential skills and experience

    • Experience of project managing large-scale marketing campaigns through a wide range of media, within a charity, agency or commercial environment.
    • Thorough understanding of charity fundraising, in particular the application of face-to-face direct marketing techniques to recruit supporters profitably and maximise their lifetime value.
    • Excellent professional and creative writing skills, with a proven ability to write effectively, including fundraising copy, business cases, marketing analysis reports and correspondence to organisations and individuals at all levels.
    • Ability to train, motivate and inspire external fundraisers.
    • High degree of numeracy and experience in producing, analysing and interpreting statistical data.
