We are looking to recruit an experienced telephone sales manager who will manage and develop a team that sell advertising solutions to businesses across our beautiful portfolio of lifestyle magazines that include Cheshire Life & Lancashire Life.
As a manager heading up this telephone-based team you will lead, coach and drive this team to ongoing success. You will provide the team with 1-1s, appraisals, development plans and create inspiring sales sessions that motivate and enthuse. It is important that you thrive in a hands-on sales coaching environment, leading by example in making calls whilst supporting and development newer team members.
We are looking for a creative individual who will develop features and supplements and enhance our digital offerings to ensure that customers’ needs are met with new and improving advertising options.
You will have the personality, energy and drive to motivate and inspire your team to achieve their full potential. It will be great at interview to hear stories of how you have motivated and driven the energy levels of teams you have led.
It is important to see this team gel together and as manager to have an overview of how businesses are approached and how this could be better synchronised. As manager you will always be focusing on ensuring the advertiser is getting the best potential media options across our portfolio to ensure that their brand grows in success through our magazines and the affluent audience that they connect with.

- Experience of media, magazines, advertising or publishing (essential)
- Proven sales background
- Experience of driving teams to achieve set targets
- Excellent, proven leadership & coaching skills
- Ability to produce reports on figures, and understand complex accounting lines

- Outstanding communication skills both written & verbal
- Creative, solution-focussed approach
- Ability to review and adapt key business objectives as required
