Telesales Co-ordinator

Job Details

Salary: £16,500 to £18,000 + Commission ote £22,000 (uncapped) (will increase over time due to product knowledge and experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm

To assist in the achievement of Regional and National Sales targets by undertaking planned telesales calls to merchants, tradesmen and retail outlets as well as home owners. To ensure that all customers within a geographical area are contacted on a regular basis and kept informed of company products and promotions whilst providing customer and sales support for the external sales team. To assist in the achievement of sales targets by undertaking planned telesales calls to home owners. To deal with incoming calls and deal with these effectively and efficiently and filter letters being sent to customers.

Personal Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and listening
  • Excellent telephone manner and clearly spoken
  • Able to work to deadlines and sales targets
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to cope well under pressure
  • Work on own initiative as well as part of the team
  • Good eye and keen attention to detail

Knowledge

  • Previous telesales experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages and Sage

Key Tasks

  • To contact all customers in a professional manner, to provide a high level of service to our customer base, whilst maximising the opportunity to increase sales.
  • Ensure company has good exposure in the retailer and that staff are aware of company and the product offered
  • Ensure the retailer is aware of promotional activity and promote success stories from branch to branch to achieve increasing sales or stock holding in branch
  • Gather competitor activity and the reason for this, pricing and stock levels should all be entered onto the Database or if high it should be communicated to the National Sales Manager
  • Look for new accounts via the internet, call them and offer a promotion to seek them opening an account.
  • Build relationship with the staff, and discuss company and company products, get the branch to trial some product, discuss promotions and activity that can help with sales.
  • Call customers that have not placed an order from the Letters sent that are older than 7 months.
  • Call customers that have not placed an order from the Letters sent that are older than 7 months.
  • Identify customer requirement using the Filter Database or/and knowledge of filters.
  • Advise the customer of any possible delays where there is a stock out or delay in shipping.
  • Promote the benefits of Direct Debit
