Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Job Details

  • £21,000 – £22,000 per annum
  • Uncapped Bonus Scheme – OTE 30k+
  • 4% Pension
  • Healthcare Top Up Scheme after 1 years service
  • Hybrid working (Work from Home up to 2 days a week once training is completed)
  • Central Headingley Location, Leeds, or Team Valley, Gateshead

What will you be doing?

Working closely with our well-established team, you will be joining an amazing bunch of talented recruiters who support each other delivering the 300 North strategy in a collaborative way.

Your role will primarily be working with one of our experienced consultants dealing with candidates (people looking for work) and companies (who are looking for staff), speaking on the phone or over Teams/Zoom to assess the needs for each person, tailoring CV’s, using social channels and our bespoke recruitment software to source suitable candidates. You will learn the art of matching the right people to the right roles, whilst maintaining a reliable and amiable customer experience.

The biggest challenge (but the most exciting) is the number of ‘plates’ there are to spin! Everyday offers a new challenge but great rewards with the team on hand to help you learn, grow and manage the fluidity of recruitment.

As part of your development you will access face to face training, online learning, seminars as well as ‘on the job’ training all working towards a professional qualification at the end.

As someone new to the role, we understand that you will need support, training and for you to learn and work at your own pace, and for us it’s a chance for the team to invest in our future!

What we need from you

We would love it if you had a great attitude to learning, the ability to take chances as well as being able to handle constructive feedback – all important in a sales role. With this positive attitude will come success for you and a career in recruitment where uncapped commission really means the sky is the limit!

You will need to have a good standard of English and Maths, coupled with great communication skills. It will help if you are not only motivated but also organised with a high level of attention to detail. Wanting to talk to people is key, our industry is all about being professionally curious and having a desire to do well.
