The Account Manager role is accountable for reducing churn, maintaining and growing the existing customer base through building and developing strong business relationships in order to deliver profitability, customer satisfaction and KCOM’s ambitious targets.

What will I be doing?

Using KCOM’s full business sales product portfolio the Account Manager will consult with customers over the telephone to gain an understanding of their business needs. This is in order to position KCOM as their trusted advisor and propose the right business network strategy solutions suitable to them. You will ensure differentiation between KCOM and other providers, closing orders at the earliest opportunity.

As an Account Manager you will also be expected to update our Sales Force system with customer account, order and contact information in order to maintain accurate and visible data and adhere to pipeline and forecasting governance rules in order to deliver KCOM-wide visibility and long-term predictability.

Working closely with an aligned Service Manager and building relationships with other internal consulting, design and delivery teams within KCOM will be important in order to route customer requests/issues quickly to the right KCOM area to achieve a rapid resolution.

What do I need to do this job?

The ideal candidate should have strong account management and good sales skills, ideally with some knowledge of the target market as well as KCOM’s competitors.

A proven track record in achieving sales targets and being familiar with a high volume workload is also required.

Technical skills and Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

    • Sales experience of 12 months with equivalent experience gained ideally through working in a similar role.
    • A Minimum of 4 GCSE (to include Maths and English)
    • Experience of enhancing relationships with SME customers
    • Experience in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and advocacy

What are my hours of work?

You’ll be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
