Our client, one of Ireland’s most inspiring media publications, is looking for an ambitious Advertising Manager to lead their sales function into its next phase of growth.

We want someone who truly understands how a creative media organisation works. Someone who can lead and inspire a sales team, build meaningful relationships, create brilliant solutions, sell with confidence, enthusiasm and flair, and collaborate comfortably with editorial, design, production and events.

The Advertising Manager will be a key member of the commercial leadership team, responsible for setting the sales strategy, growing a high performing team, and driving the next stage of growth.

You will:

Lead, mentor and develop a small sales team, setting targets and coaching them to hit and exceed them
Build and develop commercial relationships with agencies, brands and partners
Create and sell innovative advertising, brand partnerships, sponsorships and experiential solutions
Drive revenue across all platforms including print, digital, social, events, broadcast and more
Identify opportunities and turn them into plans that deliver, for yourself and your team
Bring energy, discipline and ambition to meeting and exceeding targets, both personal and team wide
Represent the business with confidence, credibility and enthusiasm at senior level

This role is suited to someone who is both creative and commercial, a natural leader and a hands on seller, energetic and organised, collaborative and independent.

Who You Are

Have proven sales ability and a genuine track record of leading or mentoring others
Understand the media landscape inside and out
Are deeply passionate about culture
Thrive on building relationships, developing people and finding solutions
Work well in a creative, fast moving environment
Can hold your own in the room with senior agency and brand stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Lead the day to day management of the sales team, including performance, coaching and pipeline discipline
Grow advertising revenue across the team and personally
Produce creative proposals and pitch presentations, and guide your team to do the same
Develop strong working relationships with agencies and brands at senior level
Manage key accounts end to end, ensuring excellent client service
Own accurate reporting on performance and pipeline, for yourself and the wider team

Ideal Experience

Min 5 years in media sales in Ireland, with some experience leading, mentoring or managing others
A strong track record in building partnerships and delivering revenue
Experience working with agencies and brands at a senior level
Experience working closely with content, creative and production teams
Sponsorships, events or branded content experience is a strong advantage

Salary: €50,000 to €55,000 DOE plus commission
