Job Details
Job Function:
To sell agricultural equipment and services to new and existing customers, ensuring customer relationship for a dedicated area. The role is about making new contacts, building relationships and gaining the trust, loyalty and confidence of our customers as well as having good administrative skills and being able to operate a customer relationship management system.
Essential Duties:
Represents the Dealership in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area and also to allocated customers outside of that area.
Maintain accurate customer information within CRM including machinery fleet, farming practices and procurement cycles.
Analyse market share data to understand customer trends, and implement a structured call plan to ensure coverage and market penetration within the area of responsibility.
Follows the sales process steps to achieve high sales performance using the sales tools available.
Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment and services potentially saleable by the dealership and attends relevant sales training events.
Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
Monitors competitor activity and products and communicates to the sales management accordingly.
Manages new equipment field demonstrations.
Executes goods delivery and follow up, according to internal processes.
Builds strong and loyal relationships with defined sales area customers.
Monitors trends in customers’ business activities and timely communicates to management.
Uses support from Sales Specialist when required.
Actively promote and sell our portfolio of products across multiple franchise partners, for New and Premium Used Machinery.
Skills & Qualifications:
Good knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operational practices
Ability to use standard computer applications, internet functions and sales tools
Excellent customer relationship skills including making new contacts, building relationships and gaining the trust, loyalty and confidence of our customers
Ability to work extended hours
Good admin skills and CRM experience
Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports
Sales experience preferred but training will be given
