We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Sales Manager to lead and grow our presence across Cumbria. This is a field-based role focused on delivering sustainable sales growth, strengthening customer relationships and driving performance across the region.
You will take ownership of your regional sales plan, working closely with internal teams and customers to maximise opportunities and ensure exceptional service delivery. As a visible representative of the business, you will play a key role in building long-term partnerships and identifying new avenues for growth within Cumbria.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work to a regional sales plan to deliver sustainable growth in line with wider sales and business goals
Build, maintain and grow strong relationships with key customers across the region.
Conduct regular customer visits to identify opportunities, resolve challenges and strengthen partnerships.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform the Team.
Deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance reporting in a timely manner.
Collaborate closely with internal teams including Commercial, Finance and Operations to ensure effective execution.
Act as a brand ambassador, representing the business at customer meetings and industry events.
Drive a high-performance, customer-focused approach within the region.
Ensure compliance with policies and promote a safe working environment.
Support an inclusive and respectful culture in all interactions.
Travel regularly across the region to meet customers and attend events as required.
Attend Sales meetings at Head Office (Embleton).
REQUIREMENTS
Proven track record in a field-based sales role, ideally within the foodservice or related industry.
Strong commercial awareness with experience of delivering against targets.
Excellent relationship-building and account management skills.
Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
Confident communicator with strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
Experience using systems and reporting tools.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Cumbria.
A proactive, results-driven mindset with a focus on customer service.
