Business Development Executive – EMEA

The Role

As a Business Development Executive at Totara, you will be responsible for generating pipeline for the EMEA Commercial organisation. This will be achieved by developing and qualifying inbound enquiries alongside outbound lead generation.

The Business Development Executive is a key role that requires a solutions and results-oriented mindset, great communication skills, and a strong understanding of the sales process.

Responsibilities

Kick start the Sales process via combination of qualifying inbound leads and proactive outbound prospecting
Partner with Sales and Marketing to create & define target lists of prospective customers
Develop creative tactics, campaigns and strategies to reach target prospects and generate qualified meetings for our Sales team
Collaborate with commercial leadership to refine the buyer journey and sales process
Record and track all activities in Hubspot
Achieve and exceed performance metrics (e.g. Activity, Pipeline generation) whilst maintaining quality and consistency
Stay up to date on market trends and competitors
Become an evangelist for Totara’s vision and solutions

Your Profile

Prior experience within a Business Development role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a cross functional team
High levels of motivation and resilience with the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced and scaling tech company
An interest in technology, Totara’s marketplace and how we can support organisations to grow
Proficiency with Hubspot or an equivalent CRM is highly advantageous
