Midea is the fastest growing brand of HVAC products in the UK and to support further growth we are looking to expand our team in key areas of our business.

We are seeking Business Development Managers to support the UK sales and distribution of products supplied by the world’s largest HVAC manufacturer.

Our aim for you is simple, go out there and spread the Midea word creating a large volume of incoming enquiries. The industry-leading team will then take care of all elements from design, quotation, stock, technical support and finance – leaving you to do what you are good at – SELLING!

Key Responsibilities:

Increase sales turnover and product awareness within agreed list of existing and target customers.
Formulate and execute an effective business plan to achieve or exceed set sales targets / business objectives. You will be given an A-Z sales plan, maximising your potential of meeting, and achieving sales targets.
Generate future opportunities with new accounts across the contractor spectrum (Installers/M&E Contractors) – HVAC businesses. 85% of time
Grow sales within existing accounts, looking to see where we can add additional value to their business. – 10% of time
Develop relationships with consultants and build a project specification pipeline within a defined territory. 5% of time.
End-to-end project tracking, sales forecasting, and conversion.
Actively increase specification for our products and services in the marketplace.
Provide the wider team with industry specific updates.
Promote our Mi Pro philosophy and ensure core values are adhered to in all company matters.
Performance against agreed sales targets.
Overall pipeline, specification, and conversion targets. Key account development and new business acquisition.
Customer retention (new accounts, lost accounts, re-buy ratios)
Regional activity as agreed with line manager.
Collection ratios / credit management.

Requirements:

Good technical understanding of HVAC including the clients and competitor products.
Understanding of HVAC market trends and clients’ changing needs.
Understanding of the relevant legislation and regulations relating to HVAC.
Excellent customer service skills, with strong and proven sales and negotiation abilities.

Desirable

Technical understanding of HVAC / Renewable product system design and solution / application selling.
Knowledge of value engineering design & build AC projects.
Technical qualification in reference to air conditioning
Experienced in undertaking CPD presentations to consultants / specifiers
Experience of submitting detailed customer business case proposals to line management.
Experience working within AC contracting
Experience of meeting and excelling against sales targets.
