Business Development Representative

Job Details

Our Business Development Representatives are a critical part of our enterprise sales process. They develop business prospects and close opportunities with the corporate and global enterprise customers we serve, while working with a team of talented, successful sales professionals.

Role Responsibilities 
• Meet assigned individual and team revenue quotas
• Develop qualified sales opportunities in specific vertical industries
• Develop relationships with prospective new customers across multiple functions (Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Global Transportation, etc.)
• Convert opportunities into closed sales by understanding buying processes, requirements and articulating Trax’s broader value proposition
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Trax’s competitive positioning in the marketplace and learn and improve his/her sales skills and supply chain domain knowledge
• Continuously review sales and working practices and contribute to their improvements
• Rigorously use CRM and maintain accuracy of CRM data
• 25% travel required

Desired Skills and Experience 
• Minimum (3) three years inside sales with software / SaaS sales experience

• Experience in selling supply chain, global trade, transportation management, financial supply chain or like solutions at an enterprise level

• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain product, pricing practices and business operations

• Track record of highly developed successful selling, customer relations and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate and engage sales with Director, VP, SVP, and C-Levels

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven track record of building customer relationships over the phone and via web conferencing

Education & Qualifications 
• Bachelors degree required

• You will enjoy working globally and across cultures and be able to adapt to different communication styles
• You are pro-active & flexible in a team environment as well as being self-motivated to work with a minimal of supervision
• You exceed established sales and call targets
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
