As part of our Food, Beverage and Consumer Goods team, you’ll help our customers connect business processes and leverage data-driven technology for better visibility, agility and responsiveness. The Customer Development Director reports to Global Customer Director, EMEA of TELUS Consumer
Goods and acts as one of the key operators within the Sales & Customer Team, responsible for key customer growth. The role is focused on Tier 1 Consumer Goods manufacturers, both Customers and prospects headquartered in EMEA. The principal products are TPx and Retail Execution products which
may expand over time. The Customer Development Director should be highly experienced in working with large complex clients with multiple stakeholders and worked in the Revenue Management, TPx, Retail Execution software / services provider

Here’s how

For the assigned territory of customers and prospects, create robust annual customer and sales plans targeting revenue growth with clearly defined actions to execute with alignment across Sales, Services, Support, Infrastructure and Product.
Develop both short term and long term opportunities aligned to territory needs to meet revenue targets
Work with Marketing and Business Development teams to expand accounts and build relationships with new prospects
Direct the overall communication plan working with Customer Success Partners to ensure existing services are delivered and high levels of satisfaction with TELUS are achieved
Establish multiple contacts within the organization to ensure engagement continues regardless of client resource churn.
Advance and close sales opportunities through the successful execution of the sales campaigns
Manage face to face meetings during all phases of the sales cycle
Update company and sales systems and reports as directed
Understand and be able to effectively communicate our advantages over the competition
Work with Product Strategy to identify new propositions and offers so that it they are aligned to reach client’s business and needs

What you bring to this role

Existing network with senior influences in the Consumer Goods Manufacturing space
Proven track record of achieving revenue targets from selling SaaS and associated services into large corporate organisations
Ability to maintain high energy levels and results driven
Excellent verbal communication, written and presentation skills
In-depth experience and understanding of Consumer Goods value chain including analytics, planning and execution
Independent and self-motivated
Effective time management and adapts quickly to changing priorities
Strong organization skills that include prioritizing tasks, creating and keeping deadlines, and attention to detail
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Consultancy based sales approach
Consistent history of proven quota attainment, strong closing skills, territory management, negotiation, and product knowledge
Ability to travel to customer sites
