With an impressive pedigree stretching back more than 100 years, Solutions Recruitment are proud to be partnering with our multi-billion $ client as they look to appoint a Head of Sales. A market leader in the design, engineering and manufacture of complex capital equipment solutions our client has an impressive portfolio of customers and reputation.

Reporting to the business unit General Manager, this role is an integral part of a dynamic leadership team setting the strategy of the organisation and implementing plans to ensures its delivery. The successful candidate will lead the sales organisation, working with their team to develop a robust pipeline of opportunities for the respective products and services our client offers its markets.

The Head of Sales will bring a key eye for detail, especially with regard to profit performance ensuring that new and existing business is managed to deliver and maintain commercial viability. They will set clear goals and performance metrics, motivating and engaging their team to perform against those goals.

Providing outstanding service and excellent life cycle management to customers, this role requires an individual who can forge productive partnerships at all levels within the customer base. These skills will also be essential when developing dealer and distributor relationships across an international network in support of commercial goals.

Working in collaboration with product development, manufacturing and supply chain functions, the successful candidate will provide invaluable input to ensure alignment with market trends and demands.

Applications are welcomed from individuals who have performed sales leadership roles in group structures, where wider capabilities can be leveraged for mutual benefit.

A technical mindset, perhaps having held an engineering role previously, candidates must have a demonstrable track record of selling high value products, services and turnkey solutions. Equally, they will have worked on an international level to a diverse range of customers directly or via a distributor model. Their technical competence will be underpinned by outstanding commercial acumen, an analytical approach and the ability to evaluate opportunities effectively.

An agent of change, willing to challenge the status quo in support of a continuous improvement culture, candidates will be able to engage and influence people towards a common purpose.
