Key Account Manager

Job Details

Our Client is on a journey to be a leading international institution in terms of innovative technology solutions in the Offshore Renewables Energy Sector. They develop and deliver the most cutting-edge projects, focusing on the new frontiers being pushed by the sector.

Job Role

  • Build and develop strong networks with senior stakeholders in the Key Accounts both regionally and within the sector. Ensure pipeline of projects in the KA’s to meet ongoing revenue delivery targets
  • Delivery oversight of strategic projects
  • To support the Operational Performance Directorate in delivering their business plan objectives, technically, commercially and with vision.
  • To identify and develop high quality projects and programmes through collaborations and funding applications that deliver a funding stream and develop capability for the company.
  • Assist with the development of written deliverables such as internal research and
  • Business plans, external   technology foresight roadmaps and conference presentations.
  • To identify and support development of commercialisation opportunities for the company’s products and services.
  • To contribute to development of the business through improvements to innovation management processes.
  • To ensure compliance with the governance processes of the company.
  • To establish strong links with the company’s partners (industry and academic).

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent in an engineering, business or other appropriate discipline
  • Ideally, a higher degree in business, management or related subject.
  • Understanding of the Offshore Energy Sector
  • Understanding of public and private sector funding models

Experience and capability:

  • Consultative selling experience, preferably in the offshore wind industry.
  • Data gathering skills through consultation, questionnaires and workshops
  • Ability to collate, assess and analyse industry priorities and other data
  • Excellent report writing skills for internal and external publication
  • Confident presenting to wide range of audiences (conferences, working groups)
  • Experience of developing projects with multiple participants including work package definition and commercial terms
  • Good stakeholder management skills and confidence working with Directors, Senior Management (internal & external) and consultants.
