Our client is an ambitious and distinctive pub group with a growing portfolio of unique venues, each offering its own character, atmosphere, and guest experience. With a strong reputation for quality food, premium drinks, and exceptional hospitality, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead and elevate its marketing and brand strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded marketing leader to shape the future of a highly regarded hospitality business and play a key role in its continued expansion.
The role:
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, footfall, and revenue growth across the group.
The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with hands on execution, leading all aspects of marketing and brand development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy across the pub group.
Lead brand positioning and ensure consistency across all venues and customer touchpoints.
Drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty initiatives.
Oversee all digital marketing activity and social media.
Develop creative campaigns that increase brand awareness, bookings, and sales.
Manage PR, media relations, partnerships, and local marketing initiatives.
Analyse customer insights, market trends, and competitor activity to inform marketing decisions.
Work closely with operational teams to support venue openings, events, seasonal campaigns, and promotions.
Manage the marketing budget and ensure a strong return on investment across all marketing activity.
Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team and external agency partners.
Experience
Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role within hospitality, pubs, restaurants, leisure, or another consumer-facing business.
Strong understanding of both brand marketing and performance marketing.
Experience working within a multi-site environment.
Demonstrable success in delivering marketing campaigns that drive revenue growth and customer engagement.
Strong digital marketing expertise, including CRM, social media, content marketing, and paid media.
Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
Experience managing budgets, agencies, and senior stakeholder relationships.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
