We are Westray Recruitment Consultants, a leading boutique recruitment consultancy, specialising across the Professional, Engineering, Manufacturing & Industrial and Commercial sectors. You will be joining our close-knit team and managing all aspects of our digital marketing communications and in-house activity. Working alongside a vibrant team of consultants, you will be heavily involved in the daily office activities, to ensure that the best representation of our company is relayed to the outside world.


As our only Marketing Executive, the role is extremely varied with your primary focus being to execute a range of marketing campaigns that will support our continued growth. Responsible for our strong social media presence, you will utilise your skills to further extend our reach and present our content in a positive way. This role involves all aspects of content writing, from generating blogs and articles, to writing job specs on behalf of the consultants. Actively supporting the design and delivery of all e-marketing campaigns, you will produce regular newsletters to both clients and candidates, and send out client/candidate satisfaction surveys.

With our website being very much our primary tool, it is essential that this is kept up to date on a regular basis, and that traffic continues to be directed to the platform.

Working closely with the Consultants, you will conduct ad-hoc meetings to discuss their requirements, producing content that will support their departmental activity and sales strategy. This will also require you to come up with engaging video ideas and create them (using in-house software which you will be trained to use), captivating our target audience in order to promote our company brand, and also vacancies that we’re working on.

Due to the nature of the industry, it is important to monitor our competitors’ activity in terms of online presence, event activity and promotion, in order to remain on top of our game. You should be familiar with and/or have previously used the following:

  • Survey monkey
  • Mailchimp
  • Photoshop
  • InDesign
  • CMS
  • SEO
  • Google analytics
  • Social media including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • Video


As much as we place great importance on “people fit”, experience is essential. You will therefore have recent marketing experience, with a strong focus on social media activity.

You will have excellent research and communication skills (both verbal and written), together with a flair for creative writing, which will be fully utilised for the composition of blogs, job specifications, newsletters and social media posts.

It’s important that you’re able to bring some great ideas to the table as well as being able to maintain the platform we’ve already created.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm. However, you will be required to work outside of office hours as and when required.
