Job Details

Responsible for:Achieving sales with builder’s merchants and contractors and representing the companies’ interests in the designated area.
Competence:     The applicant should have significant experience in solution selling and merchant key account management within in the construction industry preferably in drainage and heavy civils. Naturally, you would also need good mix product knowledge of stormwater storage, flow control and treatment. An excellent understanding of the local construction market place, its structure and key customers is essential. The ability to manage an area, develop sales, build relationships and to be self-motivated is a prerequisite. Proven ability to achieve sales and build the customer base along with good communication skills, negotiation skills and an ability to work with people from all backgrounds required.
Key Duties:
1.Implement the regional merchant and contractor plan to achieve sales within the designated area in conjunction with the Regional Technical Manager. Achieve regional order, sales, profit  budgets and targets.
2.To manage the relationship with merchant and contractor customers in the area, building partnerships as appropriate and ensuring customers’ needs are identified and satisfied. The use and upkeep of Microsoft CE CRM is an essential tool for the role.
3.Promote the product sales in the territory, identifying specific opportunities, defining customer requirements, negotiating terms and ensuring sale subsequent closed.
4.To work closely with headquarters staff ensuring we provide a seamless service to our
customers and delivering growth in sales.
5.To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and
Safety at Work Act.
6.To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 as appropriate within the areas of responsibility.
7.Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
