Sales Executive

Job Details

To proactively sell our range of venues.

Identify and develop sources of potential business via outbound calls.

To exceed revenue, profit and customer satisfaction goals by implementing strategies to increase events sales.

Spend at least one day per week on proactive outbound calls.

To maximise sales by professional and efficient handling of enquiries.

Building on existing client relationships as well as seeking out new opportunities.

To have a good working knowledge of revenue target management.

Proactively drive new business sales, generating your own leads and undertake face to face client meetings.

Develop a strategy to proactively target all lapsed clients.

Develop an account growth strategy with new and existing clients.

Work to and exceed agreed KPI’s including revenue targets, call targets, conversion targets and mystery shop targets.

Proactively follow up all marketing and PR activity to ensure ROI and conversion

Assisting in the management of large on-site bookings, as well as attending various showcase and networking event.

Sound commercial knowledge is essential.

Understanding of P&L accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

Operations

To deliver excellent service through up-selling and cross-selling of our products via phone and through our computer reservation system.

Ensuring that product knowledge is up to date in order to create tailor made packages for clients, making an excellent face to face impression on our clients, whether that be with familiarisation trips or exhibition shows.

Dealing with written, email and telephone enquiries assisting events customers with information and resolving events customer complaints according to our guidelines

Develop an excellent knowledge of Corporate and Event companies and their contracts, treating every client request as unique by designing a package or set of products to exceed their expectations

Administrative tasks including responding to all written enquiries, sending out relevant collateral, booking confirmations and invoices as well as entering all sales into out computer reservations system.

Logging all customer details in the company customer management system whilst ensuring that that this is always kept up to date

Marketing

Attending familiarisation trips with clients. Some will take place outside of the usual working hours.

Actively contribute towards constant communication with the rest of the team on sales/booking updates and client queries.

Work together as a team in order to promote, sell and manage large bookings and assist the Event Managers as and when appropriate in order to deliver outstanding service to our customers through outstanding teamwork

Financial

Work to achieve revenue and service results and assist the department in taking all commercial calls to meet departmental revenue objectives.

Displays a good knowledge of the invoicing process and liaise with finance and clients in order to resolve complaints

Development

Build and maintain a good knowledge of the corporate and events market in order to understand competitor activity, market trends and serve our customers’ needs better

Seek learning and development opportunities and attend in house courses as requested
