The Role

This is a proactive and reactive Sales Executive position, supporting the Sales Director and wider team in driving revenue by securing new business and managing client accounts.

The role is a mix of venue-based and field activity, including regional client visits, venue tours, and relationship management.

The successful candidate will play a key part in developing business across the Telford, Shropshire, and West Midlands regions.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a small portfolio of accounts and ensuring excellent client communication
Processing and developing enquiries into confirmed sales, including suite bookings, Christmas parties, and regional events
Seeking out new opportunities, identifying potential bookers, and promoting the venue to local and regional businesses
Conducting professional, tailored venue tours for prospective clients
Liaising regularly with hotel partners to identify cross-selling opportunities and ensure excellent client experiences
Maintaining accurate client and event details in the venue diary system (Momentus)
Assisting with contract management and handover processes to ensure smooth event delivery
Supporting reporting and forecasting by maintaining up-to-date sales information and attending regular team meetings

The Candidate

This opportunity would suit someone with some junior sales experience or a background in hospitality, events, or customer service who is eager to grow within a fast-paced commercial environment. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with a positive and proactive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

You will need to demonstrate:

A professional and personable approach, both in person and online
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A willingness to learn and work collaboratively within a team
Confidence when dealing with clients and conducting venue tours
IT literacy, with proficiency in Word, Excel, email, and databases
A full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle, as some travel will be required
