Our client specialise in the supply of precision manufactured components and parts for the world’s most advanced engineering industries, notably Automotive, Rail, Petrochemical and Aerospace. The company is focused on the manufacture of complex, bespoke machine parts for multiple industries including Aerospace, Automotive, F1, Industrial Gases and Oil and Gas. The business differentiates itself through the quality and innovation of its work.
Main purpose of the role will be to have responsibility for all the commercial activity within the company, overseeing strategic delivery, sales team, sales process and company functions, as well as offering direct input to the Board where required.
Main duties of the role will include;
Analyse and segment market and potential for business growth.
Define Sales focus and prioritise activities.
Develop appropriate go-to-market offerings.
Define and implement long and short term sales plans.
Create programs to win new clients and to expand revenues from existing database.
Maintain and manage an appropriate sales team structure with a goal/success orientated culture.
Develop techniques to attract and retain sales candidates.
Develop team members and maximise potential from current resources.
With the MD, create and implement sales compensation and incentive plans.
Devise and participate in lead generation activities including seminars, webinars, events and promotions.
Maintain and manage ongoing opportunity/prospect development processes.
Manage sales team to include account planning, prospecting, territory development etc.
Implement forecasting, performance management and activity management systems.
Refine and enhance bidding, quoting, presentation and reporting systems.
Drive marketing insights by supplying market information, insights and ideas for business development.
Define key areas for identifying target prospects and opportunities.
Assist in the production of sales collateral such as product and service brochures, marketing campaigns and newsletters.
Understand the key company issues including revenues, margins, profitability, cost controls and overall financial performance.
Demonstrate clear leadership in alignment with Board and other Executives.
Operate as an ambassador for the company externally.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience;
Extensive experience in the engineering, manufacturing and service sectors at Tier 1 contractor level.
Sales Management experience including;
Meeting potential customers and attending pitches.
Growing an international network of customers.
Building an International Salesforce
Setting up Sales Structures, Incentivisation Schemes and Performance Monitoring.
Motivational Skills – the ability to manage an experienced team.
Gravitas – the credibility to and presence to lead a multi-function team and contribute to the broader business.
Knowledge of Sub-Contract Machining or Press Tooling would be highly advantageous.
This is a permanent position with an immediate start available.
Salary for this role will be £45,000 per annum + Bonuses + Pension + Car Allowance.
