Location: Feltham
Job Type: Permanent
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday – 07:30am to 16:30pm
Every other Saturday – 07:30am to 10:30am
Vanta Staffing Reading are recruiting for a Trade Sales Executive / Trade Counter Sales Advisor to join a well-established building materials and roofing supplies company based in Feltham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trade counter sales professional, sales executive or building materials sales advisor looking to join a reputable and growing company within the builders merchants and roofing supplies sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in trade counter sales, customer service, upselling building materials, and supporting trade customers including builders, contractors, roofers, and construction professionals.
Trade Sales Executive Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in trade sales, trade counter sales or builders merchant environments, including:
Previous trade counter sales or trade sales experience
Experience within building materials, roofing materials, construction supplies, plumbing or builders merchants
Strong customer service and customer-facing sales experience
Knowledge of roofing products, building materials or construction products
Experience with merchandising, stock presentation and product displays
Ability to upsell products and maximise sales opportunities
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Trade Sales Executive Responsibilities
As a Trade Sales Executive / Trade Counter Sales Advisor, your duties will include:
Serving customers at the trade counter
Providing expert advice on building materials, roofing products and construction supplies
Upselling and cross-selling products to maximise revenue
Building strong relationships with trade customers, builders, contractors and roofers
Managing customer enquiries, orders and quotations
Maintaining high standards of merchandising and product displays
Supporting stock control and branch operations
Delivering excellent customer service and sales support
