Recruit4staff are representing a leading civil engineering and infrastructure business in their search for a Business Development Manager to work in London

Job Details:

Pay: £80,000 – £90,000
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Days Mon–Fri
Duration: Permanent
Benefits: Car Allowance £6,325, 8% employer pension contribution, 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Job Role: As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for establishing the brand across the UK Defence Infrastructure and Construction Market Sectors. You’ll engage in regular communication with both new and existing clients, identifying and nurturing new opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. Working closely with the Defence Sector Director, you’ll support strategy development for public and private sector growth, attend sector meetings, and contribute to bid strategy documentation.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

Career experience in the UK defence sector (Regular or Reserve Armed Forces service or equivalent government role)
Knowledge of the UK construction market
Understanding of relevant procurement legislation and MOD procurement processes
Strong client communication and presentation skills

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, Defence Studies, or Security
