THE ROLE

The Business Development Manager role is a hybrid position mixing finding and onboarding new clients with managing and developing existing client relationships. The post plays a pivotal role in expanding their client base and elevating their presence in sectors such as event management, conferences, roadshows, product launches, celebrations, exhibition stand builds, scenic design, and branding.

The main responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include:

Identify and develop new business opportunities across corporate, agency, and brand sectors. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
Lead the sales process from prospecting to pitch, proposal, and close.
Collaborate with internal teams (production, creative, design) to develop compelling proposals and solutions.
Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to represent the brand.
Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and competitor activity.
Be an active member of the Senior Leadership team

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Business Development Manager will have a proven track record of relevant success in the live events industry. With experience in securing new contracts and developing lasting relationships. Knowledge of event production, scenic, exhibition builds and branding solutions would be advantageous.

The Business Development Manager role requires a self-starter who thrives on building relationships, identifying new opportunities and driving growth across a diverse portfolio of event services. You will love the wide-ranging scope of this role, capitalising on your ability to work remotely whilst being part of a team.
