Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an energetic, highly motivated, success driven person to lead our Employer Engagement, Recruitment and Marketing Teams. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving year-on-year growth by leading the development and delivery of innovative sales, marketing, and employer engagement strategies. This pivotal role requires strong leadership to manage our marketing, recruitment, and employer engagement functions to ensure our company objectives are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and delivering innovative employer engagement and marketing strategies to increase commercial income and enrolments.
Building and managing relationships with key stakeholders and large employers.
Leading a team of Account Managers, Recruitment Coordinators, and Marketing Manager to achieve business objectives.
Overseeing recruitment and admissions processes to ensure compliance with DFE funding rules and quality standards.
Leading the development of new business opportunities and driving sales to meet targets.
Implementing and maintaining a strong account management ethos to ensure repeat business.
What we’re looking for:
Experience: Proven track record in business development, ideally with experience in the education or training sector (Further Education, apprenticeships preferred). Strong team leadership and experience with CRM systems are desirable.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong organisational and project management abilities, with the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, innovative, and target-driven with a focus on customer satisfaction and business growth. You’ll need a car and be ready to travel across Somerset and the Southwest.
