Hours worked on the field with the requirement to attend meetings in Head office Nottingham every Friday
Salary:Up to £32,000 per annum + company car and potential to earn bonus

Our client is one of the UK’s leading Cash & Carry and foodservice operators as well as leading importers and suppliers of ethnic food in the UK.
The company now operates from four depots in the Midlands which include Nottingham, West Bromwich, Peterborough and Derby.

We also own a provate drinks brand, which was launched in 2004 to meet the growing demand for authentic premium Asian food. The brand has a range of products allowing consumers to experience restaurant quality delicious food in their own homes in a convenient manner. The brand is widely sold in the UK and is also exported to the USA, Middle East and Europe.

The opportunity:
If you are an outstanding sales professional with good experience of working within the food sector who thrives on achieving sale’s targets/KPIs and building strong business relationships then this is your chance to demonstrate just what you can do. You will be selling to owners and managers of Fast food/Takeaway outlets, so influencing and cross-selling experience is a key part of the role. We are looking for a knowledgeable Business Development manager who enjoys sales.

The Role
·The principle responsibility of the role is to acquire new business, both from a pre-defined prospect list of customers and from your own initiative.
·Maintain business with the current customer base.
·The candidate will also be responsible for developing customer accounts and maintaining good relations with the customer.
·The role will be predominantly field based requiring face to face contact with the owners and managers of restaurants & takeaways.
·Flexibility with working hours is required to meet the needs of the customer base and business needs. This will involve afternoon and evening working hours.
·You will be required to analyse customer purchases and liaise with them in store to maximise the sales opportunities. You will also be required make regular contact with customers over the phone, email and be willing to visit customers where necessary.

The candidate 
You will be a fully equipped sales person who can demonstrate a strong work ethic and are able to take ownership of their client base. You’ll need great relationship management skills, innate commercial acumen and a pioneering spirit.

·Experienced and comfortable in selling a concept and ideas on quick serve restaurants and food service
·It would be preferred to have an understanding of a restaurant business
·Experience in the industry or over 3 years’ experience in business to business sales is desirable.
·Be approachable and highly organised.
