Location: Livingston, West Lothian, Scotland. Hybrid working.
Salary: £DOE, includes benefits, bonus and pension

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Digital Marketing Content Officer to join our Marketing Department at our Livingston base in the UK.

What You’ll Be doing

As part of the Marketing and Communications team the Digital Marketing Content Officer plays a key role in raising the profile and awareness of Edinburgh Instruments and the Techcomp Lab Products brands through the implementation and coordination of a range of digital content marketing, communications and activity, with particular responsibility for coordinating the digital online marketing activity. They will be responsible for digital content creation and management, and for developing and maintaining the digital content presence of the businesses on its websites, social media and at events. Furthermore, they will work as a bridge between the digital marketing and the design and graphics team and will work closely with colleagues from product, technical scientists and research and development.

Our business is in a strong growth phase with a progressive and contemporary outlook. We aim to develop our digital strategy and engage clients and customers through compelling digital content that communicates our core proposition and product narrative. The Digital Marketing Content Officer will be required to join up website design, content, creative digital features and new technologies. In addition to creating and managing a DAM system, which will be implemented across the Techcomp Europe group.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Ideate, capture and post visual content: This can include photos, memes, videos and graphics. Heavy video focus to create engagement within the brand guidelines of the businesses.
Work closely with the Head of Marketing on the strategic development and implementation of a new online and digital presence, to provide a consistent and compelling content message.
Creative storytelling – working with the Head of Marketing on creating brand narrative for the businesses to build brand credibility and competitive differentiation.
Maintain and create content for blogs, news, Vlogs, video and social channels such as Instagram, Twitter, Linked-In, YouTube and Facebook (or equivalent.) Working alongside the Marketing Assistants – social media and Events on their content plans and schedules.
Review and monitor the effectiveness of online marketing and promotional activity, providing regular reports and analysis on web and digital media content and trends using Google Analytics and on-line sources, to support future marketing and sales activity.
Working alongside the Digital Marketing assistant – on Long-form video web content, to ensure best practices on web marketing through SEO and keyword content.
Work alongside the Digital Marketing assistant on new media, including supporting email campaigns, online newsletters.
Clearly communicate brand’s mission and story, and work with team and stakeholders to secure buy-in.
Create and manage a DAM system which works for all of the TC Europe group globally.
Cross-team collaboration with the digital marketing and graphics team to support digital content workload and ensure brand messaging consistency.
Cross-team collaboration with the product and technical science teams to identify content opportunities and embed these into the workflow.
Provide support and represent the organisation at external events as and when required, including Exhibitions, PR events etc.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Marketing and or their nominee.

What You’ll Need to Bring

Short-form and Long-form video creation – filming and editing.
SEO keyword research and identification.
AI Content creation.
Content & copy writing.
Deep understanding of social media – and current trends.
Familiarity with key KPIs: Performance reporting is key to deliver the organisations sales-based ROI.
Ability to work independently – you will have the opportunity to have creative freedom aligned to team and individual KPIs.
Strong communication skills, to clearly communicate brand’s mission and story, and work with team and stakeholders to secure buy-in.
Ability to work with short deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

Other Things We’d Like to See

Photography skills, Graphic Design. PR/ Comms experience.
DAM system creation and implementation globally.
Experience building a community: Add value to our content by creating scientific manufacturing communities, to build ambassadors for brands.
Knowledge of and passion for the Science tech industry.
