Overview
Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing FMCG business, as they look to strengthen their Sales team with the appointment of an experienced Field Sales Executive.
This role is based within a fast-paced sales environment and would suit a commercially driven and proactive sales professional with experience developing new business, managing customer relationships and growing sales across wholesale and retail sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for winning new business, developing existing accounts and growing sales across the food industry throughout the Midlands and North of England.
There is an excellent remuneration package on offer including a basic salary of up to c£34,000 per annum with an OTE of £75,000, alongside a company car, pension, annual leave and the opportunity to join a successful and expanding organisation offering long-term career development.
Skills & Experience
Able to speak Punjabi or another relevant Asian language would be highly desirable, alongside a valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel throughout the territory.
A keen desire to build a career within sales.
Experience in customer facing role with good relationship building skills.
Experience working in retail, hospitality, wholesale or FMCG advantageous.
Commercially driven, energetic and proactive, with the confidence to work independently across a field-based territory and develop new customer opportunities.
Roles & Responsibilities
Identify, approach and secure new wholesale and retail customers, targeting non-independent supermarkets, wholesalers and key customers across the Midlands and North of England.
Develop new business through a combination of a predefined prospect list and proactive lead generation, taking opportunities from initial contact through to account development.
Grow sales, distribution and customer spend across existing accounts by identifying opportunities to introduce new products, ranges and categories.
Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits and develop an effective territory call plan, working towards agreed sales, distribution and new business targets.
Work closely with Sales, Buying and Operations teams to support customer requirements, while maintaining a strong understanding of Asian food trends, competitor activity and new product opportunities.
