Rental Sales Manager – Scotland / Northern Region

Location: Scotland

We’re expanding our commercial team and looking for a driven Rental Sales Manager to lead rental growth across the Northern Region. This role suits someone who thrives in a technical sales environment, understands complex customer challenges, and knows how to navigate Tier 1 contractors, utilities, and industrial markets with confidence.

About the Role

You’ll take ownership of developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and positioning Xylem’s rental solutions to solve real-world water challenges. Expect a mix of strategic planning, hands-on customer engagement, and commercial execution – all with the aim of growing market share and supporting long-term partnerships.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing and developing a strong portfolio of customers and prospects across Scotland and the Northern Region.

Building influential relationships with Tier 1 contractors, utilities, and key stakeholders.

Understanding customer requirements and aligning them with the right technical solution from our rental portfolio.

Proactively identifying new opportunities, delivering quotations/tenders, and driving consistent pipeline growth.

Translating market insight, competitor activity, and customer feedback into actionable sales strategies.

Maintaining accurate CRM records, ensuring visibility of opportunities, funnels, and account plans.

Partnering with internal teams and third-party contractors to deliver best-in-class customer outcomes.

What You Bring

A bachelor’s degree in a technical or commercial field, or equivalent experience.

3–5 years in technical, industrial, or solution-based sales (water or utilities background advantageous).

Strong commercial acumen and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical solutions.

Proven success in account development, strategic sales planning, and closing opportunities.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across customer types and levels.

Full UK driving licence (Category B).

Fluent English, written and spoken.
